Abstract

This study aimed

1) to investigate an efficiency of system and mechanism for reviewing the poor households data with 100% completion at the district level
2) to analyze the poor household information system at the area level, as well as the efficiency of the system and mechanism including assistance transferring to related organizations
3) to develop a model area for solving poverty in order to put forward the model for poverty alleviation.

Qualitative research methodology was applied by organizing a platform to identify the target or the poor data; arranging a synthesis platform to look for a solution to the problem, together with the area. Accordingly, quantitative research methodology was used for collecting basic household data in 5 areas. The results of the innovative model to alleviate poverty in 4 projects (OM) could be summarized as guidelines for solving poverty problems in Sisaket Province. This concept was entitled the WaTTANA Model consisting of 6 steps as follows:

1. Wa (Working with area & Analysis)
2. T (Targeting the information): this step was done for recording the poor information to the system
3. T (Tackling the database): this step aimed at combining information from every district
4. A (Applying the knowledge): this step was directed to create provincial plan
5. N (Nourishing the target group): this was done by implementing the prior plan to the target group and
