Abstract

Development of a mechanism for driving a learning city towards sustainability in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province. In this research, the aim is to create mechanisms and networks for the development in order to upgrade the city system to be a learning city. To develop a model of a learning city in culture, ethnicity, architecture, and the agricultural way of folk wisdom village sage, including community enterprises is presented. Using digital technology to manage data and create a database of Khlung district, it will be the engine to drive economic growth and improve peoples quality of life. There is a collaboration with stakeholders and those involved in advancing the policy towards sustainability of a learning city, driven in four directions. These are (1) creating mechanisms to upgrade urban ecosystems to develop mechanisms, which is drive learning cities towards sustainability. (2) Building cooperation of knowledge connect partners and administrators at the local level. (3) Creating a digital platform that serves as a learning city database. (4) Developing a strategy for establishing a sustainable and international learning city. The learning city ecosystem is driven towards sustainability by the development of a mechanism to drive the learning city towards sustainability from the projects implementation to build mechanisms and networks to upgrade the learning city ecosystem as a model city. The research team landed for an interview, which included collecting preliminary data together with knowledge network partners and speakers at the local level, together with stakeholders in Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province. It was found that Chanthaburi Province is a province with abundant natural resources in areas of forests, mountains, and seas. It is the source of agricultural products, both fruit and seafood products. There is also a variety of lifestyles of communities with many cultural differences that used to live in Chanthaburi in the past. They were distributed in different areas of the province, such as the Chinese, the Yuan, and the Chong people, which means “Chong people”. It is considered a native of Chanthaburi province. who live in the area of Khlung district. It is a clean community. There are natural attractions like mountains, waterfalls, mangrove forests, and cultural attractions that reflect the history of Khlung city today. Mechanisms and networking were built into the Learning City project. Which is upgrading the Learning City ecosystem to develop a model city for learning with digital innovation. Khlung District, Chanthaburi Province This is considered to create a mechanism for developing a model city of learning that is important in creating the value of products from Khlung District. To be able to answer the objectives of the project that has the concept of creating a UNESCO City of Learning as a guideline for the implementation of the project. The first part of building a learning city focuses on empowering citizens with new knowledge, skills, and attitudes in a variety of contexts. To be able to adapt to the rapid changes in the world in social, economic, and political aspects, we must promote social reconciliation. which includes economic, cultural, and environmental development. Knowledge and various data are processed, categorized and ready to be collected on a communication platform in the form of a story map and a learning data center (Digital Platform). Which is able to meet the needs of peoples learning and access to information today as well, together with the preparation of recommendations for cooperation networks of stakeholders in the area. To create sustainability in being a learning city in Khlung District so that the community can carry out business activities that occur in the community sustainably.
